Updates

The easiest way to update is from your game's system menu. If your machine isn't online (or you prefer USB), download the files below and follow the USB install steps.

Recommended: update from the machine

If your game is connected to the internet, use the built-in update option from the system/service menu for a guided install. This is the most reliable workflow.

Tip: Don't update right before a tournament unless you've tested the release on your machine.

What you'll download

USB installs use two files per release: ENC (encrypted package) and SIG (signature).

Keep both files together in the USB folder. If you're unsure what to install, contact support.

Ninja Eclipse® — v0.9.5

This release significantly expands the game with fully configurable replay and leaderboard rewards, a new cooperative play mode with shared progress, enhanced Shadow Lane behavior, and the debut of the Oni Nisshoku wizard mode unlocked by defeating all bosses, enabling full game completion and the Dragon Kami. Gameplay polish includes improved ball-save feedback, added multiball protection, new light shows and boss death animations, refined callout priorities, and better moment-to-moment clarity. This release introduces major gameplay and system upgrades, including fully configurable replay and leaderboard rewards, a new cooperative play mode with shared scoring, and a play-mode selector accessible from Attract Mode. The update enhances moment-to-moment presentation with new and improved light shows, better mode behavior and stacking, refined ball-save feedback, and numerous polish fixes across duels, multiballs, and multiplayer interactions. Stability and performance have been improved through memory optimizations, more reliable ball-serve and launch handling, persistent settings, and fixes for rare crashes, multiball edge cases, UI blocking, and networking issues. Operationally, the release delivers a reorganized and more cohesive settings layout, an overhauled payment configuration screen, expanded update management, improved logging, mirrored audio and video outputs (including dual HDMI support), better volume controls, and new quality-of-life options for operators and streamers.

This release introduces significant gameplay updates and refinements. New leaderboard awards and custom game stats have been added, along with rebalanced combo scoring for standard and tournament play. Several boss modes, including Hanzaki, Rokurokubi, and Obake, have been reworked for better pacing, precision, and rewards. Multiball jackpots now include bell-based bonuses, and mystery, Kami, and boss selection screens have improved navigation and timers. The update also delivers UI/UX enhancements, mouse input support, optimized resource loading for faster boot times, numerous bug fixes, and new settings such as a profanity filter, lost ball recovery toggle, and support for online updates via the service menu.

Install via USB

Use this method if your machine isn't online or you prefer offline installs. USB installs require both files: ENC and SIG.

USB steps

  1. 1) Download both the ENC and SIG files for the release.
  2. 2) Format a USB drive as exFAT or FAT32 and ensure it has enough space.
  3. 3) Create a folder named turnerpinball at the root of the USB drive.
  4. 4) Copy both files into that folder. No other files can be in the folder.
  5. 5) With the machine off, open the backbox and insert the USB drive into the computer.
  6. 6) Power on and follow the on-screen instructions.
