Expo 2023 Followup

Posted on October 22, 2023 by Chris Turner

We had an awesome time at Pinball Expo in Chicago! Thanks to all that came to our booth and played our game.

We learned a lot and carefully recorded feedback from players. Here is what we heard:

  • Players prefer one button on each side of the cabinet, especially when controlling an upper and lower flipper. If there are two buttons, they need to be menu configurable, but one button is still preferred.
  • The slimline cabinet and removable backbox design may be more portable, but it won't look as good in a lineup of pinball machines. The coin door is a necessity for both operators and most home users (that may sell their machines to an operator). Also, a larger cabinet is perceived to be higher value due to other cheap low-end small cabinets that have come before.
  • The removable glass frame design with integrated lights is great. However, tempered glass is preferred over abrasion resistant polycarbonate.

We value your feedback and strive to build machines that you will love. We are going to work hard to incorporate changes which we will present at TPF 2024 in our production model.
